As mentioned a bove the best approach for an international move is planning ahead of time. Its not to early to start research and planning of your international move few months in advance. You need time to apply for visas and arrange for many other needed documents

 

Check all laws and regulation of the the country you are moving to.

Regulations and laws are different from country to country and it is important to check with the consulate or embassies about any restrictions and special laws applied to people and their household goods being shipped overseas:

  • What are the required permits and visas before the move?
  • Are their any vaccines required?
  • What are the restrictions for moving household goods internationally?
  • Any taxes on household goods or cars?
  • What are the laws about international pet moving?

 

Visas and other permits:

Get the needed documents and submits for passports, visas and permits as soon as you can. It is never too early to get that part of your overseas move ready

Important documents to have:

 

  • All proof of your status in the US (Citizenship, Green Card and others)
  • Diplomas and other academic documents.
  • All Medical documnets and copies of all medical files.
  • Social security cards.
  • Living Will and Testament.
  • Employment record and history.
